Fixing Food Waste

MFA Project
A research-driven exploration of ways to reduce household food waste through changes in cooking and eating habits.
I conducted user research, developed concepts and prototypes, and tested a sustainable cooking kit designed to make alternative food practices more approachable.
This was my initial prototype for a sustainable cooking kit. The COVID pandemic shut things down right at this time so I made everything with what I had on hand.
After incorporating some feedback from my user testing, I created a second prototype that had some branding and also included a guide and a video introduction.
A mockup of a the final packaging.
I created this cooking video so users would understand how to use the kit and to demonstrate how easy it was. It is meant to mimic the videos that are popular on the internet, made by Tasty.
